In all honesty, I thought about writing a bunch of posts, then backdating them to appear like I had been posting over the past year, instead of completely neglecting this blog like I actually did. But there’s been far too much reboots, continuity issues, discontinuity band-aids, and the like across our media outlets. Not saying I’m a media outlet, but enough is enough.
Depending on what you focus on, a lot and very little has happened in the year since my last blog post. I’m not going to summarize them all now, but post as I think of them–like I was going to before, but without the backdating. In general terms though, I’m no longer writing blog content for different companies–the last stopped at the end of December. To replace that income, I now export used Japanese heavy construction equipment to Asia. Yeah, I didn’t see that coming either.
As far as writing goes, I still have several projects that I’m trying to find time for. The main story I’m working on is about a race of support characters from the books by Jonathan Shipley, (check out his wikipedia and facebook page!). It started as a short story about the Stedren, turned into a novella, and finally I thought, ‘Screw it,’ and let it go into full novel mode. Consequently, I have no idea what it will end up looking like.
Lots of other things going on in general right now, and like the Stedren novel, I don’t know what my life will look like months from now. In any case, I’ll do my best to update what I can here. One new thing I’d like to mention is the new logo for TGAPGeorge.com (that pic at the top). It’s based on the tattoo that’s prominent in the novella version of ‘Again the 10n’–and more about that short story soon!
Well all that seemed like a downer, so I’ll end with a picture of Harper:
